PLEASE HELP THE VICTIMS OF THE TOHOKU EARTHQUAKE/TSUNAMI

Thanks for all the emails checking on us....the shop was hit pretty hard during the quake....it looked like it had been picked up, shaken vigorously, and put back down! We are slowly getting it put back together and ask for your patience during this time. Orders are posting out but may take a few more days than normal to arrive.

 

For those of you who emailed asking how you can help the Tohoku Earthquake victims, there are many organizations set up to receive donations. Gomineko is supporting Crystal's daughter's school drive "Kids to こども". They are accepting both cash and clothing donations. To donate money through our website please use the paypal button below.

For donations of clothing, please note that the charity organizations here are not accepting gently worn clothes, they must be new. The Kids to こども Drive is requesting:

  • 3 sets of clothing for one size (for example~ everything for a 4 year old child)
  • a jacket for the same size
  • shoes/socks for the same size
  • one stuffed animal/toy

The Kanji on the top right means heart - kokoro. The bottom writing is a challenge to never give up. Defeat is not an option. If you do not accept defeat, you can overcome. The writing on the top right advises people stay the course with determination and encourages meditation. If you think long and hard enough the solution will become clear.... the words together are a powerful call to the country to stand strong in spirit and heart.
